Canton, Frank M. Life of early day outlaw-lawman Frank M. Canton. Born Joe Horner, in 1849, near Richmond, Virginia. After brush with the law near Jacksboro, Tex., he changed his name to Canton. After that he was a range detective, sheriff, U. S. Marshall and put the Oklahoma National Guard in shape as its first adjutant general. 10 pages, magazine article
