Pressbook documenting art events in Abilene, Texas, from 1948 to 1949 with emphasis on those of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs Sixth District. The cover for this pressbook is the front of The Texas Clubwoman magazine. The local theme of study for the local Abilene Club was "Art Looks Ahead." Miss A. M. Carpenter was elected State Director for the American Artists Professional League and Director of the Art Division of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. Included is a summary report of District 6 activities and also proposed exhibits for the Abilene Museum of Fine Arts.
