This is a collaborative project by member institutions of the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) aimed at selecting, capturing and providing access to a collection of websites about the 2012 Olympic games, to be held in London, United Kingdom in July and August 2012, and the Paralympic Games to follow in August and September.
The project will allow institutions to coordinate selection and share curatorial practices. Websites collected by this experimental project will also serve as a testbed and allow institutions to experiment with global access to web archive collections and engage with researchers to understand their requirements.
